Overview
CMAX Clinical Research is an independent clinical research facility, based in Adelaide, Australia. CMAX has been established as a Phase I unit since December 1993, making it the longest-running in Australia and, since establishment, has consistently maintained world class standards with a total commitment to providing excellence and quality in all areas of clinical service.
CMAX is one of Australia’s most modern Phase I clinical research facilities, adjacent to Adelaide’s Biomed City. The facility offers 78‐bed capacity for in‐house stays, including low acoustic rooms and negative air pressure suites, four sample processing laboratories (including three PC2), secure investigational product storage room, and 24‐bed cardiac telemetry system. Other features of the modern environment include isolation zones, recreation spaces for participants, purpose‐built monitoring room, secure-swipe access, and more.
CMAX conducts ~55 studies per year and has conducted >800 studies since the unit was established. Areas of speciality include Phase I – FTIH, SAD/MAD, first time in patients, BA/BE, PK/PD and Proof-Of-Concept studies.
CMAX has launched Fusion Clinical Research, a site management arm to the CMAX business. In this model, our trained Clinical Research Coordinators, Site Management Associates and Research Nurses are deployed to General Practitioner (GP) clinics to look after day-to-day trial activities.
This model expands our service offering to include more Phase II to IV trials and is an ideal setting for the enrolment of patients with conditions usually managed by their family doctor, or vaccine trials.
